Ami Mattison Okay, Ami-effing-Mattison should only perform near fire departments because usually when she's done, the crowd is on fire and the roof is burning from the heat. She is a friend I can't live without, and a talent that makes the world a much saner and less complacent place.
Thea Hillman Thea is the starting point of ForWord Girls, which was in many ways a starting point for me. She has been a friend and supporter of mine now for years, and she writes like a goddess.

Katzinger's Deli has all sorts of tasy sandwiches. It's in Germantown in Columbus Ohio, and there are just so many things to see there!
Daddy Dz in Atlanta has simply the best ribs I've ever eaten. I don't want to get into a rib war with anyone, but these are very very good. So there. I swear you'll want to suck the skin off your fingers to get every last taste of that sauce....
Ella's Deli in Madison is indescribable, and they have deep-fried dill pickles and robots and clowns and Mighty Mouse and an old peep-style machine that probably triggers epileptic seizures. Oh, and they have ice cream!
Honey's Restaurant and Catering Cheap and yummy in Durham! They have a potato cheese thingy to die for, and really good fried chicken livers.
Best Diner Sometimes when you're in Greensboro, you want a nice cheap place where the food is good, the service is friendly and the YUMMY SAUSAGE GRAVY IS SO THICK YOUR SPOON WILL STAND UP IN IT!!!!
